The journalism industry is out of touch with what young audiences want—no wonder young people aren't subscribing, supporting, or trusting mainstream publications.
In this session, we'll talk about why community-building is so important to attract and retain young audiences. We'll discuss trust, personalization, branding and journalism "personalities," internet culture as a means of reaching young audiences, and (ethical) ways to monetize journalism especially when more and more young people feel no desire to pay for news.
